    • John Weire was a Virginia colonist. Major John Weir (Weyer, Weyre, Weye) settled in Old Rappahannock County. In 1666 he had three grants of land, aggregating 6,570 acres. He was Burgess for Rappahannock at the sessions of March 1658-1659, March 1659-60, and 1660/61-1676.
