  Alexander was infeft as heir, served and retoured as Laird in 1485 and must have been of age. Thus his age is estimated to have been c. 1465. In 1485, infeft as heir, served and retoured as Laird. He is thought to have died in 1507 as, on 12 Feb 1507/8, there is a Privy Seal record to Sir Alexander Irvine of Drum and Duncan Forbes of the Ward of the lands of the late Alexander Skene of that Ilk and of the marriage of Alexander Skene, his son and heir. His wife, Agnes, appears on 3 Oct 1508 as his widow.
