      ===Name===
      There is agreement that the woman who married Gwrgan was a daughter of G w y n . T h e most reliable sources assert that her name was Nest.

      '''A daughter'''

      Boyer, following Bartrum, shows Gwrgan as the son of Ithel, who in turn w a s t h e s o n of Idwallon, the son of Morgan Mawr, Morgan being the king o f M o r g a nnwg who died in 974. Her husband is the father of three children, but as he was married twic e , i t i s n o t certain who the mother of his children were.
      Therefore the discussion of Gwrgan's children is placed only on Gwrgan' s p r o f i le.

      ===Was she the daughter of Angharad?===
      Without further citation, Geni states that [[ferch Maredudd-4|Angharad f e r c h M a redudd]] was the wife of [[ap Collwyn-1|Gwyn ap Collwyn]] of Dyf e d i n a d d ition to being the wife Llywelyn ap Seisyll and Cynfyn ap Gwer y s ta n , a rglwydd of Cwybr Geni. The Geni site further asserts that Angharad as therefore the mother of G w y n ' s c hildren, Caradawg and Angharat.
      Angharad's detailed biography demonstrates that there was little room i n h e r l i f e for an additional marriage to Gwyn, and no source for such a r e l a t i onship has been found other than Geni.
      Therefore Angharad has been removed as a mother for Caradawg and Anghar a t .
