• Notes

  On 10 Oct 1539 she was described as a "gentlewoman" when she was named as godmother in the baptismal record of Alice Sutton at Toft. There were in the sixteenth century and before, a number of Burgoynes living in Cambridgeshire and nearby Cambridgeshire and in some supporting evidence, the earliest known Burgoyne was Bartholomew of Boxworth, who was living in 1334.
