He was appointed to correspond with the other committees of this province upon the great objects of public attention and to cooperate in every measure conducing to the welfare of British America
This committee was appoinment was on July 12, 1774, and the committee met in Philadelphia Jul 15, 1775
He was appointed Colonel of the Troops in 1776, but died before he could take an active part in the War
