- George Aldrich was a freeman and member of the Church of Dorchester, Massachusetts by 7 December 1636. He was a tailor by trade. In Dorchester he had a one-acre houselot.
He removed to Braintree in 1640 where he was granted a 20-acre parcel o f land in Mt. Wollaston (which became Braintree). On 9 June 1663, George Aldridge, tailor, and Katherine his wife sold their land in Braintree to Richard Thayer for 30 pounds sterling and removed to Mendon, where he was one of the first six settlers.
