      He married December 18, 1685, Tryntje (Catharine) a daughter of Adrain W illiamsen Bennet, of Gowanus, now a part of Brooklyn City) and died abo ut 1748.

He was an Elder in Dut ch Church of New Utrecht from 171 5 to 1731, a member of the Colonial L egislature of New York from 1698 to 1731, and a justice of the Peace in K ings County from 1712 to 1718. He was highly respected for his integri ty and good judgement.
