    • John Weire was a Virginia colonist. Major John Weir (Weyer, Weyre, Weye ) settled in Old Rappahannock County. In 1666 he had three grants of land, aggregating 6,570 acres. He was Burgess for Rappahannock at the sessions of March 1658-1659, March 1659-60, and 1660/61-1676.
