  LifeSketch	Harrisonburg Daily News Record June 24, 1985 Dora Ellen Gladwell, 90, of 193 S. Sunset Drive, Broadway died Saturday at Camelot Hall Nursing Home in Harrisonburg, where she had been a patient 10 days. Mrs. Gladwell was a teacher in Rockingham County public schools for several years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Broadway, where she taught Sunday school. She was born Jan. 3,1895, in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late James H. and Bertie S. Secrist Turner. Mrs. Gladwell was a member of the Missionary Society for several years and attended James Madison University. On June 25, 1920, she married Samuel Copton Gladwell, who died Dec. 13,1965. Surviving are two sons, Ralph L. Gladwell of Waynesboro and John L. Turner of. Broadway; two sisters, Mae Turner of Fulks Run and Rosa A. Lantz of Broadway; three brothers, Benjamin Turner of Fulks Run and David and Frank Turner, both of Broadway; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church by the Rev. William Atwell. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Broadway Emergency Squad.
