A manuscript which narrates the descents of the founders of Lanthony Ab b e y n a m es "Isabella, Matildis, Eva et Alianora" as the four daughters o f " W i l l ielmus de Brews quartus" and his wife "Evam filiam domini Willie lm i M a r e schalli", adding that Isabel married "David filio Lewelini prin c ip i s W a lli�"[286]. The Annals of Dunstable record that "Willelmus de B r a u s e .filiam suam" married "Leulino.filio", with as her dowry "castello d e B o e t " , which reverted to her family after her husband died[287].

He succeeded his father in 1240 as DAFYDD II Prince of Wales.

He died in 1246 and was buried at Aberconway.
The Annales Cambri� record the death in 1246 of "David filius Lewelini a p u d A b e r" and his burial "apud Aberconuy"[282].
