Mr. Hill was by occupation a carpenter, but was said to have had little ambition and depended on others for support. His wife Sarah is reputed to have been an excellent woman, who, by her industry and self-denial, did much for her son Ebenezer,5 b. Jan. 31, 1766, who graduated at Harvard College, 1786, and was ordained pastor of the church at Mason, N. H., Nov. 3, 1790, which office he sustained more than 63 years; he d. May 20, 1854.
