  Renaud or Ragenold, Count of Roucy (c. 920 - 10 May 967) was a 10th-cen t u r y V i king who swore allegiance to the Frankish kings, and became the m i l i t a ry chief of Reims after the restoration of the Archbishop Artald o f R e i m s , upon taking the area back from Hugh of Vermandois. He built a fort at Roucy between the late 940s and early 950s and suppo r t e d y o ung King Lothair of France in the expedition at Aquitaine and th e S i e g e [ fr] of Poitiers, during the dynastic struggles of the Kingdom o f W e s t F r ancia. Renaud was made the Count of Roucy around or before 955 b y K i n g L o thair.
